Time Flies When You Are Having Fun.....

It has been awhile since I have posted on my blog. I have been super busy with the kiddos and some fun projects. Here is a sneak peak of what I am wanting to be a side business for our family....

The kids and I have also had a little bit of downtime....

But don't worry we don't just lounge around all day at the pool, we use our brains too...

I wish the summer with my children wouldn't end but guess it is time to get ready to go back to school.

Down Time

Well, two of the kids are at church camp this week. It has been rather quiet and the little boys, Deanie and I are enjoying watching movies from what they say, "back in the day." I did not think that they would enjoy so many of them but it was a hit I must say since the weather this week has been so random.

                           

I have been looking for ideas from Pinterest for things to do next week and some yummies to make for the kids. As usual the honey and oldest wanted "crack crackers."  This has become a staple in our house. When anyone gets the munchies they go for the "crack crackers."

For my little lovies I made a simple smores pie.  I have not tried it yet but the honey and doodle said it was yummy. I just took a simple pie crust, added instant chocolate pudding and 1 and 3/4 cup of milk, and put large marshmallows on top. For grins I took a candle lighter and "toasted" the marshmallows.

 I was so stinking proud. I am excited, tomorrow my honey is off work and hopefully we can get out of this house and away from the dreary rain. Until then... loves to all!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

What a fun evening for our family!!! We decided that this being our first year with everyone, without the burn ban, we would have a cookout and fireworks at my mom and dads..aka nana and papa house. My sister and her lil one was there and unfortunately her hubby was working. The kids had a blast sitting outside and eating watermelon. Papa cooked on the grill and of course as always it was awesome!! When it was getting dark we did the fireworks for Kodi and then when the sun set it was on like donkey kong...lol!!  I hope you all had a great holiday!! The rest is in pictures.

When life hands you lemons....

We were suppose to go swimming yesterday. Well, since mother nature couldn't decide if it was going to rain we decided not to chance and go to the pool, we did the next best thing....PAINT!!!! The kids had a blast!! Here are some pictures of the masterpieces...

We are having a blast this summer!! The kids have told me numerous times that this summer is way better than last summer. Thank goodness that being a fanatical organizing machine(tamed) has had a positive response!!  I have mentioned previously that we were starting the chart/chore system. It is working awesome!!! I made a poster board and split into six sections, six children, and numbered and color coded. Since Tristian is autistic and is just now getting the hang of doing chores, the kids have also decided that if he gets a big room they will trade with him or if he wants to keep it they will help out. I love my kids so much!! (Now, we don't have a perfect clean house and everyone walking around with smile and no one ever fights, seriously who is really like that anyways?? LOL!!) So on Sundays, the kids get paid and we re-draw for the week. We have also agreed that if someone is not here, one of the other kids can pick it up and earn extra money since they are paid by the day. This was the first week and they are already asking when someone is gonna be gone so they can get extra money! This week are gonna start working on the kids rooms and hopefully start painting the house!! Well, as usual we are getting ready to go swimming! See yall soon!!

I am trying to decide how often I should update my blog. Being that it is summer and I am drowning in my beautiful six children and their activities, I am having to make time.  I have so much that I have wanted to share and still do. I have this idea, or goal, to have a blog like the one that I am following. So, to catch up.... Since Austan birthday we have pretty much been laying low. We have made a better effort to work together to have the house clean, started a chore chart system including allowance. The kids are oddly enough having fun at the library and have asked to change it to twice a week. I am one proud mama!! I will soon be posting some pictures of the kids swimming. In the summertime we spend alot of time at the local YMCA where the kids spend most of their time in the pool. I am thankful for everyday that I get to spend time with my children because everyone knows that they grow entirely too fast!!

It's My Party.....

Our baby boy is 9!!!! I can't believe that it already that time. Our crazy, smart, handsome little boy is now a big boy! For those that know me I have a problem of admitting to the fact that he is no longer a "baby." The force was with him last weekend and he had a blast!!!

I went on to pinterest and got ideas for the table to be decorated and for his "treat bags." One of his older brothers is autistic, so he made the ships out of legos. I took pictures of the legos and they were printed out. I then put them on top of table and ( my sister's idea) put a clear table cloth so that everyone could see them. Thank You Lord For Good Medication!!

WOOHOO!! I got a z pak, inhailer, and some cough medicine and mama is getting back to normal. Bless me kids hearts for being so patient with me while I laid around all week. Yesterday I got this massive burst of energy and we did all weeks worth of activites except for the Friday all in one day! My burst soon dwindled and I went to bed. But enough about me. The 13th is our youngest kiddos birthday. He is 100% infatuated with Star Wars and all that it involves.  His wonderful daddy decided since we all were needing an "upgrade" from the wii that we would just include him in this little adventure. His party is next weekend and while I had tons of ideas from Pinterest to do, the stupid skate world wontlet you bring anything in except for the cake and decorations. I am hoping that it is going to be awesome and lots of his friends are gonna get to come. I did however fail to get the invitations out until the week of....grrrr!!! OK, off to play family feud on the "new" toy!! Love yall!!!

my bad... first two pics are the kids painting letters that I am going to be using later, the third is lava lamps we made, the fourth is nutella fudge bites using madegascar 3 molds, and finally is my favorite so far, mailboxes so that the kids can send little notes to each for encouragement and thoughts that sometimes we don't get across in this loud crazy house! :-)

Dang it!! Of course this week, which is the first week of summer vacation, and I have pneumonia :-( My sweet awesome wonderful kids have been so patient since we have done nothing so far. I finally got some medicine yesterday and I am gonna start feeling better. Coming soon....a whole first weeks worth of summer fun in one weekend... wish me luck!!!!

Summer Summer Summertime!!!

What an interesting start to the summer. I have this horrible nagging cough that makes me sound like I am a 61 year old chain smoker. My oldest daughter, Deanie, brought a friend home from school Friday and she went home today. (oddly we miss her) The whole "organized summer" is going good, yes I know it is the first day. LOL!! Little bit of an optomist at times. Today we made playdough and are in the middle of an experiment with an egg in a cup of vinegar. The playdough is funky.... I didn't have any real salt so I used season salt. They smell great...hahaha!! The kids thought it was hilarious and still added food coloring to their "batches."
